Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

The short version

Aedo does not collect, store, or share any of your personal data. There are no analytics, no trackers, no ads, and no accounts other than the ones on your own servers.

Your server credentials

To play your music and audiobooks, Aedo needs the addresses of your Navidrome (music) and Audiobookshelf (audiobooks) servers, along with your login credentials. These are stored securely on your device only (using the operating system’s secure storage) and are sent exclusively to the server addresses you configure. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Network traffic

All communication happens directly between your device and your own servers: browsing your libraries, streaming music and audiobooks, and loading cover art. Aedo has no backend of its own and never proxies or inspects your traffic.

Scrobbling

If you connect a scrobbling service such as Last.fm or ListenBrainz, Aedo sends your listening history to that service at your request and under your own account. This is entirely optional and off until you enable it.

In-app purchases

Aedo offers optional tips to support development. Payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your payment details. See Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies for how they handle purchase data.

Data we collect

None. Aedo contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and sends no telemetry. We have no servers and no database — we could not collect your data even if we wanted to.

Children's privacy

Aedo does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
